Real California Milk Thailand has successfully launched the “Real California Pizza Battle Thailand 2024,” a competition aimed at promoting Thai cuisine and pizza on the international stage. The event highlighted the fusion of high-quality California dairy products, including cheese and milk with diverse local ingredients, providing a platform for young chefs to showcase their skills and compete for a chance to represent Thailand at the International Pizza Expo 2025 in Las Vegas.
Following the successful completion of the California Cheese Train the Trainer Boot Camp, the “Real California Pizza Battle Thailand 2024” was held at Lenôtre Culinary Arts School. This competition brought together 25 culinary instructors from 15 prestigious culinary institutes across Thailand, who received in-depth training on California’s high-quality cheese. These instructors then applied their knowledge to further train students, preparing them for the national competition. Representatives from each of the 15 institutes participated, creating pizzas that combined various types of California cheese with local Thai ingredients.
The competition was judged by a panel of culinary experts from the Chefs Association of Thailand, who praised the exceptional creativity and skill displayed by the chefs. The fusion of California cheese and Thai flavours was a culinary highlight that captivated the audience and garnered international attention.
Real California Milk Thailand extends its gratitude to the special panel of judges, including Ms. Kelly Stange, Regional Agricultural Counsellor Office of Agricultural Affairs (Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos) Foreign Agricultural Service, Chef Somsak Rarongkham, President of the Chefs Association of Thailand, Chef Bib Chatchaya Rattanakanit, a renowned chef specialising in cuisine and bakery, Chef Prachan Vong-Uthaiphan, Deputy Director of the Chefs Association of Thailand, and Apiradee Phanuroote, representative of the California Milk Advisory Board.
